Thursday: Engagement Session; Saturday: Wedding!

This will be a record that is hard to beat...the shortest amount of time in between an engagement session and the wedding: 47 hours, 34 minutes! Yep, Chad and Jenn came in on Thursday for their engagement session, then got married two days later. Gotta love 'em! And of course, we had a blast working with them. Shot some cool stuff, too. I've included a few shots here.

If you would like to see their wedding album (yep, that's done), you can view it here.

Announcing: The Associate Team

Krystal Sutter and Allison Halkey, The Associate Team, photo © Michael Mowbray

I'm proud to announce the creation of The Associate Team at Beautiful Portraits by Michael. The Associate Team is perfect for anyone who loves my style but has a more modest wedding photography budget. The Associate Team features Allison Halkey and Krystal Sutter, two talented photographers who I have been training for the past few years. (You could say that I dun taught them up real good.) Each has earned her Associate Degree in Photography from MATC, where their favorite teacher was, um, yours truly (at least that's what they tell me). :) In addition, Allison has photographed more than 30 weddings with me, as well as numerous weddings on her own. Krystal joined us in 2008 and quickly showed her skill and talent in capturing the details of the day. Together, Allison and Krystal will create many outstanding wedding images – and make your day just a little bit more special.

I Survived the Bridal Show

Actually, we had a GREAT bridal show, thank you very much! We met lots of great couples, had great conversations, saw friend, ate cake, and most importantly, booked a bunch of weddings. :) As our wedding business has grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years I've found the need to add an additional photography team to complement the work that I do and to provide another option for couples when I am already booked for their date. My new Associate Team is Allison Halkey and Krystal Sutter. I'll tell you more about them in another blog to come this week.

If you couldn't make it to the show or were just curious what our booth looked like, I've included a couple of photos.

I know that I have a backlog of blogging to do...hope to get caught up in the next week or so.
